What quantities of pigments are needed?

  • The amounts of red and yellow pigments to use depend on the amount of corn in the feed, and the depth of colour required.
  • Larger amounts of pigments, especially red, are required to achieve high colour scores.
  • The following tables provide guidelines for the quantities to use.
  • Note that the very small amounts of these pigments require premixing before addition to the mixer
